Owners of the Past!

This little bit of property I call home has an interesting tale to tell.  After sitting down reading through the abstract, we found that this parcel of prairie has past through a number of hands in its time.   It looks like the first recorded transaction was 1879.  The land appearantly was owned by the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba Railway Company, which became the Great Northern Railway Company.
One of the first things that I found interesting.. was an old footprint of a building in the southwest corner of the property... What was it this place?

We discovered that a family name Sande lived here and the building above belonged to the mother in-law.

After just a little digging, I found that the Sande are resting in an old cemetery not but a mile or so down the road.
